I'm living the american dream

Today i'm sitting here reading some of the other blogs thinking omg i've been there done that! I look back on the yrs and think of differnet things with what we did and didnt do.. here i am 10 yrs later i have a 5 yr old and how lucky i am to have a great husband and child. We were just back to PA for about 5 wks spending the holiday there and it made me realize how great i got it! I seen just how much ppl hate our life! And truthfully i don't see why. We meet so many ppl out here that would love to just jump and sell there house and leave there jobs and be able to spend everyday with there kids and see the USA. And here i am doing the america dream!

My 5 yr old is homeschooled. and no she's not missing a thing. while in md we went to D.C. and went to all the smithsonians! It was great! Hands on learning! since she was about 3 she could go to a map of the USA and point out all the states we've been too.. She told me today how glad and lucky she is to be albe to do all this. She loves going to all the zoos, musems, and others things we hit along the way while we're in the state! Like now we're in Ga we look up facts about it and she learns things about it! She learned that Allen Jackson grew up right down the road from where we are and that yrs ago before he was famous he worked in kmart warehouse!

I could go on and on what we do. But i won't bore u with that! I am a wife of a traveling millwrighter and i love everything about it! Yes there is days he works hard and the poor guy doesnt get to to anything , then there are jobs thats easy on him and we get to spend tons of time together! but this is our life and we're loving it!

Life in an rv can be hard

I just wanted to say that life wasnt easy those past 10 yrs! Gosh i was such a change! But i love change always have ... When he 1st started this job we weren't married so we had ot get married before we left for the new job! Talk about a fast throw together! LOL oh well we did it... Our first real job away from home ( PA) was in Ohio.. Which was great for me cause we had family there.. Well i had tons to do before we even left i had a good job i had to quit. we just go married so i had to have everything changed for that.. OMG talk about overwhelming! it was but i was so excited to start our own life! At the time we only had a little 27 ft tag along.. Gosh it was so small! LOL Anyway we got to ohio and i got alot closer to our new family ( the ppl on the road become like family). The wives & I would go shopping, do lunch, then later cook dinner and all get togther and eat as one huge family! gosh i miss those days!

We were so young back then and it was scary but yet fun... About 2 months of being there we finally bought another trailer one with a slide. so i was a little more happy! i also was a work camper at the rv park. So that kept me a little busy.. Then about 2 months after buying that rv i went to visit my family and my uncle showed me my dream trailer! ( never thought i'd be calling my husband telling him to come pick it up that same day) LOL! We bought our 40 ft travel supreme fiver.. Omg! to me it was so great and huge! Considering all i had was either small apartments yrs ago or my 27 ft trailer! It had 2 slides oh it was so great for me!

We slowly moved up. from the rv to a bigger truck. I was enjoying my new lifestyle and great new ppl i was meeting! But when things got nuts it wasnt easy! when u have little issues you don't have far to go. We learned to deal with things and to talk it out cause in an rv Lol there isn't much room for disagreements..

I learned to deal with him having to owrk long hard hrs. i went from having him around everywkend to only 3 hrs a day then going straight to bed...

Here we are 10 yrs later and with a 5 yr old. and we're so happy! And still loving our lifestyle!

How it all began!

Where to start! My husband , my daughter & I travel on the road with his job. He is a millwright so he travels fulltime all over the USA. It all started back in 1998 when i went to the laundrymat to do laundry i met this wonderful couple there. I asked them what brought them up to PA. They told me how they travel fulltime in there rv all over the USA. Well i just loved that thought! Wow theres actually a job like that!! Man i needed to get more info. Well after a few hrs of chatting with them they invited us down to there rv so they could meet my hubby.

I went home so excited tell him all this info.. He just laughted at me thinking i was nuts. He told me there is no damn job out there that is worth picking up and moving from job to job! So i bugged him please just go down there and meet them and see what u think. So we did. The next day he went in to give it a shot.. Needless to say we were packing up and moving down to the rv park everyone else was at! Here we are 10yrs later still doing the same job. I still laugh and pick on hom saying gee and u thought i was nuts for talking ot these ppl... We've seen so much and done so much in 10 yrs i cant even being!
